Large Endor Tree´s Part 1.

Hello again!

As I said in my last post I am going to try to make some nice terrain for the upcoming Star Wars Legion Miniature game!

I was really inspired by the first Youtube video of the Star Wars Legion miniatures game that was shown from the Gencon 50 convent a few weeks back.

In this post I will try to show you how I made my Large Endor tree´s.

I started by first cuting out 5cm x 5cm thick strips of insulation foam.
Then I cut out 9.5cm across round bases from oil hardened board.
Then I drilled holes in them for large flower stick to fit.
Then I cut the foam in 3 pieces and pushed them on to the flower sticks.
I used wood glue to glue the foam.
I cut away as much as I could of the foam, then I used a sander!
The sanded foam ready for hobby paint.
The paint is for the next stepp so the foam does not melt from the super glue I used!
Then I glued nylon rope to the foam.
Darth Vader looks on as I work :)
Then I put on some air drying hobby clay onto the nylon rope.
After the clay has dried I apply some toilet paper with a 50:50 mix of wood glue and water.
I first brush the tree with the glue mix and then apply the paper, then I apply more onto the paper to
make the paper wrinkled and stick better to the tree.
The first tree´s after the first wash of woodland scenics: burnt umber 50:50 mix with water.
Hope you all like my lite tutorial so far!

Star Wars Legion

Last week I was going to check out Fantasy Flight Games web site and I was surprised to find out about a new miniatures game: Star Wars Legion that is going to come out during Q1 next year...
I was totaly excited by the news, and I quickly went to my local game store to preorder this new game!
The game will not come for a couple of months but I can use the spare time to build some great looking Endor terrain.
So in the next weeks to come I will try to build some Endor terrain for this upcoming miniatures game!

Hershel´s Farm Fence Tutorial

Hi Again.

Its time now to show you all how I made my fences to my little farm project!

First you need a sheet of balsa wood and some round flower sticks.
A sharp knife and a ruler and a pen.
I then cut the balsa wood in many 13x2 cm strips
Then I sand down the long 13 cm edges of the balsa wood.
Then I take some coffie stirrer and cut them down to 13 cm.
I then cut the flower stick in 2.5 cm short sticks.
I use super glue to first glue the flower sticks 2 cm from the edge of the balsa Wood.
Then I just glue the coffie stirrer to the flower sticks.
I use a army painter uniform grey spray to paint the fence and then a brown hobby paint to paint the edges of the base.
The last step is to use some wood glue to glue down some nice static grass flock.
I hope this little tutorial has been useful to watch!

TWD: All Out War Test Game!

A few weeks back me and two friends played a game of TWD: all out war and we had a great time!
And here are some pictures of it!

During the last turn of the game Rick run past Shane, drawing a Walker after him but the Walker bumped into Shane. Rick then shoot Shane in the back and the Walker did the rest in close combat phase killing Shane!

A car alarm started!
Rick fights two walkers!
Shanes in trouble!
Rick run past Shane!
The Walker follows Rick but Shane is in the way!
Shane dies from a walker bite drops his two objective markers!
And team Rick win the game!
